What I offer

Educational Materials for Healthcare Professionals

Continuing education is the primary focus of my medical writing. I regularly assemble well-researched needs assessments, patient cases, clinical trial summaries, knowledge-check questions, and other elements of CME/CPD modules built for your areas of interest.

Reports and Presentations for Research Scientists

Once a research scientist, always a research scientist! I enjoy creating polished, well-organized posters, slide decks, conference reports, and original manuscripts that capture advancements at the forefront of medical knowledge and the scientific literature.

Explainers for Readers with Varying Levels of Medical Education

Accurate and accessible medical information is for everyone. I can produce compelling blog posts, brochures, articles, and web content to educate patients, employees, and the public.

How I Work

My approach to writing blends a love of diving into the literature with a drive to articulate the most pertinent concepts concisely. Written work I deliver to clients is the product of:

Careful assessment of the current clinical landscape

Medical knowledge evolves quickly, and writers must stay abreast of how the latest updates may change scientific consensus. I pay close attention to recent FDA approvals, presentations at major medical conferences, and high-impact publications shaping our understanding of the topic at hand.

Tailoring to a specific audience

From specialty clinicians to research scientists to supporters of CME activities, each piece of medical writing must focus on the needs of a target audience. I center my work on understanding readers’ perspectives and motivations for seeking out the information.

Creating a logical path for the reader

Regardless of their starting familiarity with a topic, readers appreciate prose that is easy to navigate. I prioritize my role as a guide, engaging readers along a signposted path through logically organized information.

AI Policy

AI is now an essential tool for medical writers in all specialties. However, the potential for unethical use and a decline in writing quality are hazards to take seriously. I abide by the policies outlined by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education’s Guidance on the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Accredited Continuing Education (CE) and the American Medical Writers Association’s Ethical Guidance for Harnessing the Potential of Artificial Intelligence. As an active member of AMWA and ACEHP, I regularly attend professional conferences to stay abreast of the evolving best practices and consensus on AI use in the CME and broader medical writing industries.

Important points to which I adhere:

  • Transparency is maintained with clients about which AI tools are used, and for what purpose

  • All claims incorporated in the finished project are subject to human oversight and rigorous fact-checking

  • Confidential information is never uploaded or used in AI prompts
